European Program “ Europe for Citizens” The Kaleidoscope implements a project under the title: “The Europeans and their roots- EUROOTS” with the support of European Commission, Direction Education and Culture, in the context of “ Europe for Citizens” Program. This aims at raising the European awareness on common history, culture and values, promoting the intercultural dialogue and the citizens reflection on European values. This project contains three activities: The first one proposes a cultural program of animation, the second contains an action of debate on EU future and European values, an one day conference and the third a long lasting cooperation platform in this field, the creation of a network. The first activity is called “The cultural identity of Europe: Myth, History, Art” which presents the results of a project undertaken by Kaleidoscope in 2007 – 2008, with the similar objectives. The EUROOTS aims at acting as a multiplier in order to spread these results at European and national level. This activity contains two actions. The first is inspired by the text of French intelligent Paul Valery, under the title “Who is European”, which consider the three cultures, the Ancient Greek, the Roman and Christianity as the main pillars of European civilization. The other is referred to the history of EU genesis and the process to European integration. The second activity is called “Debate on the future of EU and its values” , which will be held in Bratislava, at transnational level at the same time with the cultural program of animation. The third proposes a network, established among the members of the project, with the view of having a long lasting cooperation in the future, open to other organizations. In the EUROOTS partnership are involved: Kaleidoscope( GR), Europe House of Bratislava(SK), Europe House of Dubrovnik ( CR), Union of Associations MULTICULTURA( PL), Drustvo SCUC (SL), Eurotender Association (HU), Future of Europe Association (HU), European Education and Information Center (PL),
